The DresdenHALF is an experience and your personal challenge!

Run 21.1 km through the heart of one of Germany's most beautiful cities and be inspired by its many different facets: from the picturesque old town with its world-famous buildings such as the Semperoper, the Zwinger and the Frauenkirche, to the beautiful park of the Großer Garten.

REGISTRATION

Thirteen miles, thirteen cities, one feeling: Half marathon in Dresden

The DresdenHALF route runs right through the heart of the city – along the River Elbe, past Dresden's most beautiful sights. A special highlight of the run: Dresden's twin towns are represented on the 21.1-kilometre course. Each of the 13 miles is symbolically dedicated to a town – making each stage a little experience in itself!

Dresden maintains lively partnerships with cities in Europe, Africa, Asia and America: Coventry, Wrocław, St. Petersburg, Skopje, Ostrava, Brazzaville, Florence, Hamburg, Rotterdam, Strasbourg, Salzburg, Columbus and Hangzhou. These city partnerships promote international exchange and cooperation in areas such as culture, education, business and politics – for example through school projects, youth exchanges and joint events.

All residents of Dresden and visitors to the city are warmly invited to help make the DresdenHALF a success, line the route, cheer on the runners and soak up the atmosphere. Anyone who wishes to can also play an active part in organising one of the city’s themed sections – turning the DresdenHALF into a celebration of exercise, community and international friendship.

1st mile: Brazzaville | 2nd mile: Wrocław | 3rd mile: Ostrava | 4th mile: Skopje | 5th mile: Hangzhou | 6th mile: Columbus | 7th mile: Coventry | 8th mile: Rotterdam | 9th mile: Strasbourg | 10th mile: Hamburg | 11th mile: Florence | 12th mile: Salzburg | 13th mile: Dresden
