To our volunteers
A big race needs more than just lots of runners. It needs pacemakers, for example, to set the pace, and above all race makers – people who literally make the race happen, prepare it and accompany it.
Without these helpers, it wouldn't be possible, not even at Laufszene events. A total of over 800 volunteers support us throughout the year. The volunteers' tasks couldn't be more varied: handing out the starting documents, setting up and dismantling the start and finish areas, organising refreshment stations, securing the route or luggage storage, and finally accompanying the runners by bike. And all this includes a look behind the scenes – the Laufszene backstage, so to speak
